Crisis

Ever since I saw this guy's model brought up at the beginning of Wrath... man, did I want one. I didn't rush out to tame him, however. My hunter was collecting dust when 4.2 launched and I was finishing off my druid as well as working on my warrior and priest. Still, I thought, more than once, how awesome it would be to go and tame a pet that I had wanted for the duration of an expansion and a half. It wasn't long ago, however, that I picked my hunter back up. And Shade has a pure lucky streak when it comes to rares these days... You'll see what I mean soon enough.

So, one day, I went out into the Molten Front and decided to test the theory that I could get onto the Plume Ridge... place without unlocking anything. Some third degree burns later, I got there... only to fail a jump and fall to my death. Lucky me, I managed to fall under the island, so I got a nice free rez there, anyway. Heading over there, I found a nice spot between the northern and southern spawn points. Theoretically, I should have gotten a nice alarm if a rare happened to spawn in either location. But... nothing was happening.

Bored, I took to using Eagle Eye all over the place... and nearly died when the alarm did go off. All the way across the Molten Front... Eegads, Deth'tilac! Well, it's a challenge, and I wanted sorely to try the challenge tames out. I had even brought a spider just for this occasion, so I haltingly rock skipped away. After nearly an hour of some... interesting events, I ended up checking the spawn points again... And there was Skarr! Just sitting pretty as could be. Being a Blood Elf, I figured I would be fine without a Marksmen spec. And I also had a Corehound for a personal lust. All's good! Somehow, I don't die getting back up (But thanks to certain spiders, I had already racked up a nice bill and had to drop by Org to fix some mail that was falling off), and wander over. Lust... rock hop... Arcane Torrent... the wrong attack! So, I was dead. Again.

Luckily, no one else was around and the Ancient Hysteria was fast enough to come up again between the 2.5 minute CD and my rez timer... This time, I made sure to interrupt the right attack and not die another time that night! At least... to Skarr.

As to why his name is Crisis... Not a clue. It just is one of those names that seems to fit perfectly, and he doesn't seem to complain.
